Senior partner, David Thompson comments “Up until now, most key decisions have gone through a committee process but because of our recent growth and plans for further expansion, this is no longer the way forward.David’s appointment as Managing Partner is the next step in enabling us to reach these goals.I’m sure David will find it a challenging position but he has the unanimous support of the other partners.”
“RHK is gaining new clients from a variety of sources including recommendations from existing clients, professional contacts such as banks and solicitors and the marketing we are undertaking generally to raise the profile of RHK and the range of services we are able to provide.”
David Hall explains “You have to remember that this is a long established firm.Richardson Hall Kennedy has been around since 1922 and has a strong client base, many of whom have grown themselves and now require more sophisticated advice from their accountants. We have expanded and developed our range of services to ensure we can provide these clients with the comprehensive range of support they need, and this in turn has made us a more viable option for new clients who may previously have thought that RHK were too small to act on their behalf.”
“This is definitely not the case any longer.RHK moved into a purpose built, three-storey office about 4 years ago and until recently the top floor was hired out to local businesses or used as an in-house training facility. In the last twelve months the firm has increased its staffing levels to 30 staff and 6 partners, many of whom have trained and worked in national firms, ensuring that Richardson Hall Kennedy combines providing big firm advice with a high quality personal service to our extremely broad range of clients at competitive fees.”
“When I joined the practice in 1986, it was in a temporary position to help out during a busy period and 19 years later I’m still here. Even back then the firm was expanding! My father was one of the founding partners – that’s where the Hall comes from in the name Richardson Hall Kennedy.Unfortunately he died a couple of years ago, but I know he would have been very proud of the fact that I’m involved in steering the partnership towards an ambitious future.”
“I am determined to ensure that RHK continues to be a success by maximising the opportunities available to us.I believe that the creation of this senior role sends a clear message to staff, clients and the business community that RHK has a clear vision and strategy for where we are heading in the future and that my appointment is the next step in enabling us to reach these goals.”
